The Complete Guide to the Infectious Diseases

This RCPE Infectious Diseases symposium is a one-day online conference for clinicians in general medicine, infectious diseases, microbiology, public health and general practice. The programme is broad enough to be useful for trainees deciding whether to spend study time on the event: blood-borne virus care, HIV outbreak learning, opt-out BBV testing, immunomodulation in severe infection, microbiome science, faecal microbiota transplant and tuberculosis treatment strategy all appear in the timetable. There is a registrar case-study slot and a named keynote lecture, but the page does not advertise an abstract submission route, so presentation opportunities are not recorded. Registration fees are visible: standard £275, RCPE member £175, AHP £175, retired/foundation member £80 and RCPE student member £0. Scotland Deanery medical specialty trainees are directed to the block grant scheme rather than a visible individual trainee price. Six CPD credits have been applied for, with catch-up access and CPD certification available for registered delegates who complete feedback by 26 October 2026.
