The Complete Guide to the Gastroenterology & Hepatology

The RCPE Gastroenterology & Hepatology symposium is a one-day online conference for clinicians who manage gastroenterology and liver disease in specialist and acute settings. The programme covers inflammatory bowel disease, perianal Crohn's disease, advanced therapies, global IBD experience, metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease, liver transplantation, acute severe colitis, severe GI bleeding, decompensated liver disease, eating-disorder admissions and endoscopy decisions in older or frailer patients. A trainee case presentation is visible in the programme, but the page does not show an open abstract call or submission guidance. Fees are the standard RCPE symposium matrix: £275 standard, £175 RCPE member, £175 AHP, £80 retired/foundation member and £0 for RCPE student members, with Scotland Deanery specialty trainees directed to the block grant scheme. The page states CPD certificates are available after feedback, with catch-up access for registered delegates and feedback required by 10 December 2026. It is a useful MedicMess entry for gastroenterology, hepatology and acute-medical trainees wanting a broad update day.
