The Complete Guide to the Cardiology

The RCPE Cardiology symposium is a one-day online conference for acute and general physicians, cardiologists, specialist trainees and internal medicine trainees. It has a full specialty programme rather than a short evening-update format, with sessions on European Society of Cardiology guideline updates, pregnancy and heart disease, valvular surveillance and intervention, dyslipidaemia, coronary artery disease in severe LV dysfunction, heart failure medication, myocarditis and pericarditis case presentations, AI in cardiology, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, immune checkpoint inhibitor-associated myocarditis and realistic medicine. The page lists a George Alexander Gibson Lecture on AI in cardiovascular imaging by Professor Carolyn Lam. No abstract submission route is visible, although the programme includes registrar case presentations. Fees are visible: standard £275, RCPE member £175, AHP £175, retired/foundation member £80 and RCPE student member £0. Scotland Deanery medical specialty trainees are routed through the block grant scheme. Six CPD credits have been applied for, with catch-up access and feedback required by 3 December 2026 for CPD certification.
