Public Health: Health and Obesity is a one-day online RCPE symposium taking a whole-systems view of obesity and population weight. It is relevant to general medicine, public health, general practice and students with an interest in obesity. The programme spans commercial determinants, global non-communicable disease context, health inequalities, Scotland's Good Food Nation work, food-environment policy, lived experience, psychology and mental health, communication about weight, societal prevention choices and evaluation of new obesity medications. The page lists keynote contributions, including Professor Lindsay Jaacks on policies to improve food environments, but does not advertise an abstract submission route. Fees match the standard RCPE online symposium matrix: standard £275, RCPE member £175, AHP £175, retired/foundation member £80 and RCPE student member £0, with Scotland Deanery trainees routed through the block grant scheme. CPD is marked as TBC with application for six credits. Registered delegates can use catch-up access, and feedback must be completed by 25 February 2027 for certification.
