MedicMess is free and we don't sell anything — including your data. Here is everything we collect, in plain English.
We set one first-party cookie (mm_vid) containing a random identifier. It holds no personal information and is not shared with anyone. We use it to understand, in aggregate, how the site is used — which conferences people view or save, whether visitors come back, and which links brought them here — so we can make MedicMess more useful. We use no third-party trackers or advertising cookies.
Your conference shortlist is stored only in your browser on that device. It is not attached to an account or copied into our database. Your chosen specialty is stored the same way and can be cleared in one tap. If you explicitly share a shortlist, the link contains only the public conference slugs — no email address or device identifier. We record anonymous save and removal events in our site measurement so we can understand which conferences are most useful.
If you ask to hear about new matches, we store your email address and the filters you chose. We use them only to send matching conference alerts. Every alert has a one-click stop link, and no account is required.
If you subscribe, we store your email address (and, if you choose to tell us, your specialty and training stage) to send you the weekly email. Every email includes an unsubscribe link; unsubscribing removes you from the list. We never share or sell the list.
Unsubscribing from the newsletter removes you from the list immediately — every email has a one-click link. For anything else, including deleting what little we hold about you, reply to any MedicMess email and we'll sort it.
