BACPR Annual Conference 2026 is the 35th annual conference of the British Association for Cardiovascular Prevention and Rehabilitation, running at The Eastside Rooms in Birmingham on Thursday 8 and Friday 9 October 2026. The meeting is aimed at healthcare professionals involved in cardiovascular prevention and rehabilitation, including programme leads, cardiologists, cardiac specialist nurses, physiotherapists, dietitians, pharmacists, psychologists, occupational therapists and exercise professionals. The conference site states that 270+ attendees are expected and that the two-day meeting will cover evidence and practice across the core components of cardiovascular prevention and rehabilitation, with in-person networking.
The programme page says the meeting will include plenary sessions, oral communications, breakouts, posters, sponsored symposia, an expo and networking. Main timings are 10:00 to 17:00 on Thursday and 09:15 to 15:30 on Friday. Published themes include the future of cardiovascular rehabilitation, prevention across the pathway, cardiometabolic risk optimisation, health inequalities, digital/data/AI, therapy/psychology/patient voice, and workforce sustainability. Named speakers visible include Prof Patrick Doherty, Dr Luca Faconti, Dr Mark Griffiths, Prof Simon Ray and keynote speaker Dr Stefan Tino Kulnik.
Abstract submission closes at 17:00 on Monday 15 June 2026, with outcomes due on Monday 20 July. The abstract page allows oral and poster preferences, including moderated and unmoderated posters, and asks submitters to categorise work by study type, BACPR standards and core components. It links previous Heart supplements and states that accepted abstracts have previously been published in Heart; this makes the meeting useful for trainees or allied professionals with audit, service evaluation, research or quality-improvement work. Registration is open. Standard non-member full-package registration is GBP 435, early-bird non-member full-package registration is GBP 390, and student member full-package registration is GBP 125. The standard registration deadline is 17:00 on Friday 18 September, refund deadline is Monday 7 September, and early bird closes at 17:00 on Friday 5 June. No CPD accreditation or CPD points were visible on the inspected pages.
