The 52nd Annual SCPS Congress runs at the East Midlands Conference Centre in Nottingham from 6 to 8 November 2026. It is aimed at clinical perfusion scientists and the wider cardiothoracic surgical/perfusion community, with a three-day programme of scientific sessions, panel discussion, industry-supported education, College and Society AGMs, workshops and exhibition time. Published sessions cover equality and inclusion, paediatric perfusion, extracorporeal technology, anticoagulation, staffing safety, transfusion, Jehovah's Witness care, del Nido cardioplegia, NIRS/pEEG and safety committee work.
Abstract submission is open for original research and case reports. The listed themes include cardiopulmonary bypass and cardiothoracic surgery, cardiothoracic physiology, ECMO and extracorporeal perfusion technology, paediatric perfusion, education and training, simulation and safety, mental health and wellbeing, plus case reports or original research of interest. The deadline is 31 July 2026. Submissions require a Microsoft Word abstract document, title, biography, profile photo and Zoom recording/session asset. The live Jotform adds a 180-character title limit and confirms an abstract limit of 300 words. There is an internal source conflict on the biography limit: the call page says 700 words, while the Jotform says 700 characters.
Registration carries 10 CPD points awarded by the College of Clinical Perfusion Scientists. Full non-member registration is GBP 450 early bird by 30 September 2026 and GBP 470 from 1 October to 2 November; single-day non-member rates are GBP 260 and GBP 280. Accommodation is not included.
The venue page gives Beeston Lane, Nottingham NG7 2RJ; the exhibitor manual names the Orchard Hotel as the lead hotel, the Jubilee Hotel as a nearby sister hotel, and states that guests are entitled to complimentary parking.
