The inaugural Manchester Infection Conference brings clinicians, clinical scientists, academics and public-health professionals together for a full day spanning microbiology, virology, molecular diagnostics and genomics. The programme covers meningococcal cluster response, antimicrobial resistance, mycology, AI in infection, respiratory surveillance, congenital CMV, metagenomics, HPV integration and HCV sequencing.

The day runs in person at the Post Graduate Center on Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust's Oxford Road campus. Registration and poster viewing begin at 08:00, formal sessions start at 09:00, and the programme ends with refreshments and networking from 17:00 to 18:00. Eventbrite lists attendance as free, but tickets are now sold out.

There is a clear portfolio route: posters can present research or service developments, and the winning submission receives a short oral presentation. The extended abstract deadline was 31 July 2026.
