6th UK Clinical Vaccine Network Conference: Vaccines across the life course

The UK Clinical Vaccine Network’s sixth annual conference is the clearest clinical fit of the three Oxford events. It brings together vaccinology researchers, infection specialists, public-health leaders and practising clinicians for a two-day programme spanning vaccine acceptance, neurological disease, global health, AI and digital transformation, emerging areas of vaccinology, and global vaccine policy and delivery. Clinical content ranges from EBV and multiple sclerosis to meningitis, tuberculosis, HIV, hepatitis B, adult co-administration, gonorrhoea and ebolavirus vaccines.

The programme is unusually detailed, with speakers including Andrew Pollard, Sarah Blagden, Simon Draper, Caroline Trotter, Thomas Waite, Teresa Lambe, Helder Nakaya and Robin Shattock. It also explicitly connects policy, research and clinical practice in a final panel. Early-career researchers receive a dedicated abstract and poster showcase on day one, followed by prize presentations on day two. Abstracts could cover vaccine-related research or patient case presentations and be selected for oral or poster delivery; submissions closed at noon BST on 26 June, with reviewer decisions due by 31 July.

In-person standard registration is £120 and trainee, student or nurse registration is £80, with a one-day nurse/trainee rate of £45. Virtual access is available, including free registration for eligible attendees in low- and middle-income countries. Lunches and breaks are included, but travel, accommodation and the optional £65 New College dinner are not.
