The first UK medical conference website
Conferences · Journals · Societies · Research, for UK resident doctors
The site describes an audience of many thousands from more than 50 countries, a large exhibition area and dedicated networking events.
Free papers, e-posters, late-breaker ePosters and RAPM-linked publication routes make this a high-value research meeting.
The congress explicitly includes learning opportunities for residents, trainees and fellows, plus trainee sessions and abstract prizes aimed at young members.
The 43rd ESRA Annual Congress is aimed at anaesthetists, pain physicians, researchers, scientists, residents and fellows working across regional anaesthesia, perioperative care, PoCUS, acute postoperative pain and chronic pain. The congress describes a large international audience, more than 100 faculty members and a scientific format including plenary sessions, expert panels, refresher-course lectures, pro-con debates, ask-the-expert sessions, complex cases, hands-on clinical and cadaver workshops, trainee sessions and live demonstrations. Abstract submission is a strong part of the meeting. The main abstract deadline has passed, but late-breaker phase 2 remains open until 27 July 2026 for ePosters for viewing; phase 2 late abstracts are not eligible for ESRA awards and will not be published in RAPM. The general and phase 1 accepted abstracts are planned for a journal supplement or special issue, contingent on presenter registration and attendance. Main congress registration fees were behind a myCongressOnline login during this scrape, but workshop and networking add-on prices were visible. The venue is Lisbon Congress Center, around 12 km from Humberto Delgado Airport, with paid parking and an official hotel booking agency via Revolugo.
