EFIC Congress 2027, Pain in Europe XV, runs in person at the Scottish Event Campus in Glasgow from 21 to 23 April 2027. It is built for the whole pain community: clinicians, researchers, nurses, physiotherapists, psychologists, allied health professionals, trainees and early-career researchers. The theme is Building Bridges in Pain: Thriving Through Communication.
The provisional programme spans plenary sessions, workshops, debates, masterclasses, focus sessions, industry sessions, guided poster walks and early-career activities across all three days. Named plenary contributors include Geert Crombez, Rohini Kuner, Kristian Petersen, Dawn Dowding, Ben Seymour, Nanna Brix Finnerup, Lene Vase, Markus Ploner, Patrik Ernfors and Greg Weir, with a Rising Stars plenary for early-career researchers.
Abstracts close on 30 September 2026 at 23:59 CET. Accepted abstracts may be selected for oral free communication sessions, poster sessions, guided poster walks and poster prizes, and accepted abstracts are included in the official congress abstract publication. Workshop proposals close on 7 September 2026; late-breaking abstracts are expected in December 2026 to January 2027.
Registration is open in euros. Early registration runs until 14 December 2026 at 23:59 CET, with early fees from EUR 845 for EFIC chapter or Academy members, EUR 940 for non-members and EUR 375 for student, trainee and fellow delegates. Standard registration runs until 22 March 2027 at 23:59 CET. Financial aid applications close on 30 September 2026 at 23:59 CET and prioritise early-career researchers, accepted presenters, trainees and allied health professionals.
