Update in medicine – Leicester 2026

This one-day Royal College of Physicians Update in medicine meeting is designed for physicians and allied health professionals at all career stages and across medical specialties. The Leicester programme covers maternal medicine, eosinophilic oesophagitis, emerging therapies in diabetes and obesity, pleural disease, and culture and leadership, alongside an RCP leadership update, questions and networking. The published faculty includes Dr Anette Freyer, Professor Anjan Dhar, Professor Simon Conroy, Dr Sarb Clare, Suzanne Armstrong, Dr Louise Savic, Professor Najib Rahman, Professor David Webb and Dr Aklak Choudhury. The meeting is face to face only and awards 6 CPD credits. Fees are £285 for consultant/SAS non-members, £125 for subscribing consultant/SAS members, £185 for non-member trainees and medical students, and £75 for subscribing trainees, FY doctors and medical students; lunch and refreshments are included. The venue is Mattioli Woods Welford Road Stadium, around a 16-minute walk or 7-minute drive from Leicester station, with on-site parking. Delegates should give at least 48 hours’ notice for specific dietary requirements.
