The Cardiff Royal College of Physicians Update in medicine is a full-day, face-to-face meeting for physicians and allied health professionals at all stages and across medical specialties. The series combines cross-specialty clinical education, best-practice updates, professional development, audience questions and networking with peers, leading physicians and senior RCP officers. It awards 6 CPD credits and does not provide online access. Published fees are £285 for consultant/SAS non-members, £125 for subscribing consultant/SAS members, £185 for non-member resident doctors and medical students, and £75 for subscribing resident doctors, FY doctors and medical students; a £75 refugee doctor rate is also listed. Lunch and refreshments are included. The event page does not publish an abstract call, poster or oral presentation competition, or submission specifications. A separate free RCP Cymru Wales resident-doctor networking session runs from 07:30 to 09:00 before the conference, is open to IMTs and specialty trainees, and requires separate registration; it includes discussion with Resident Doctor Committee representatives and networking with the RCP president and college officers. Cardiff Marriott Hotel is in the city centre, around five minutes’ walk from Cardiff Central station. Discounted on-site parking is available after ticket validation at reception, with John Lewis and St David’s II car parks nearby.
