The Scottish Society of Physicians 68th Annual Meeting is a two-day in-person meeting for general physicians, trainees, SAS doctors, AHPs and medical students with an interest in general medicine and its subspecialties. The programme combines practical clinical updates with research and quality-improvement presentations. Day 1 includes hospital at home, functional disorders, realistic medicine, workforce pressure, green medicine and the Fitzgerald Peel Lecture on reducing mortality in chronic kidney disease. Day 2 includes pyrexia of unknown origin, hypertensive emergencies, pulmonary embolus and a dedicated scientific/QI presentation session with poster viewing and prize awards. The page confirms a current call for abstracts but does not show a submission deadline; the visible programme includes oral scientific/QI presentations and poster viewing. Fees are shown in GBP with member and non-member rates: non-member consultant/GP both-days £320, resident doctor/SAS/AHP £240, foundation doctor £145 and medical student £115; one-day options and a £60 society dinner ticket are also available. CPD certificates are available after completing feedback. The Kingsmill Hotel is under 10 minutes by taxi from Inverness station, around 20 minutes from Inverness Airport, and has free guest parking.
