This Royal College of Physicians Update in medicine meeting is a full-day, face-to-face conference for physicians and allied health professionals at all stages and across medical specialties. It combines cross-specialty clinical education, best-practice updates, professional development, questions and peer networking. The published faculty includes Dr Katherine McCullough, Dr Ben Warner, Dr Roger Wellesley Duckitt, Professor Nik Patel, Dr Charlotte Long, Dr Sarah Bowers, Dr Claire Turner, Dr Henry Alexander, Dr David Hargroves and Dr Sanjay Suman, covering expertise across gastroenterology, acute medicine, cardiology, critical care, palliative medicine, public health, geriatric medicine and stroke. The conference awards 6 CPD credits and does not provide online access. Published fees are £285 for consultant/SAS non-members, £125 for subscribing consultant/SAS members, £185 for non-member trainees and medical students, and £75 for subscribing trainees, FY doctors and medical students. The page publishes no abstract call, presentation competition or submission specifications. Lunch and refreshments are included. The seafront DoubleTree by Hilton Brighton Metropole is about a 15–20 minute walk from Brighton station; limited on-site parking is first come, first served, with alternatives at Churchill Square.
