UKCCRF26 is the sixteenth national forum for clinical research in critical care, emergency medicine and acute medicine. The provisional programme is built around research priorities, trial delivery and methods, policy and knowledge exchange, inclusivity, mechanistic science, PK/PD and phase I trials. Parallel oral research-proposal sessions run on both days, alongside investigator meetings for active study groups.
Monday includes updates from UKCCRG, ICS, NIHR and ICNARC, sessions on influencing policy and guideline development, a research-methods block and four new study proposals. Tuesday covers mechanism research, enriching trials with science and phase I development, followed by proposals including TIGERS, EMERALD2, CUBS, PICS SSM, DETECT-PE, TPAD and DOMINOES-CS.
Both forum days cost £100 for non-consultant clinical grades and academic/research staff below professor level, or £240 for consultant/professor-level delegates. Single-day rates are £70 and £140; packages including the social event are £150 and £290, and the social event alone is £50. Prices include VAT where applicable. Registration forms were due by Monday 24 August 2026.
No current 2026 proposal deadline or specification page is public. An official 2021 template historically used a 100-word study summary plus research question, rationale, design, public involvement, bias, eligibility, outcomes, sample-size and recruitment fields, with a presentation of no more than 10 minutes if accepted; those historical rules should not be assumed for 2026.
