The Intensivists in Training Conference 2026 is a one-day College of ICM meeting in Manchester for intensivists in training and the wider multidisciplinary team, with online attendance available for members. The programme is mapped to the ICM curriculum and combines clinical updates, training and leadership sessions, hands-on workshops and direct contact with regional and national trainers and College leadership. The visible agenda includes opening plenary content, 2026 critical care studies, fairness in training, haemodynamic assessment, shock, aortopathies, lung transplantation, ethical cases, CAR-T and immunotherapy toxicities, Fontan physiology and a closing drinks reception.

The abstract competition is open for original research, audit or QI, case reports, education or training projects and wellbeing projects. Abstracts are limited to 300 words, excluding tables, figures and references. Most submissions use Background, Methods, Results and Discussion, while case reports use Description and Discussion. Submitters must have appropriate regulatory or ethical approval, or patient consent, before submission. Authors can submit for poster only or ask to be considered for oral presentation; the three top-scoring submissions are invited to present orally. The submission deadline is 15 September 2026. Pricing is visible for in-person trainee attendance (early bird GBP 170, standard GBP 195) and online attendance, including FICM trainee/nurse/ACCP GBP 155, FICM member GBP 190, non-member GBP 225, senior fellow GBP 75 and core/foundation GBP 45.
