The 13th East Midlands Critical Care and Perioperative Medicine Hybrid Conference is a two-day meeting for anaesthetists, intensivists and the wider critical-care team. The published audience includes medical students, foundation and resident doctors, SAS doctors, Anaesthesia Associates, ACPs and other allied professionals. Confirmed topics span prehabilitation, perioperative medicine, POPS, pulmonary embolism response, difficult ventilator weaning, immunoglobulin use, education strategy and the legal and ethical issues raised by the Townsend Trial. Sixteen faculty members are already named, with further speakers due to be confirmed.

The organiser is running an abstract competition for medical students, foundation doctors, doctors in anaesthesia and intensive-care training, SAS doctors, Anaesthesia Associates and critical-care ACPs. Selected work may be presented as a poster or oral presentation. Presenters selected in either format receive free registration for both days, and the top three oral presentations receive cash prizes. A deadline, word limit, category list and publication outcome were not stated on the available pages at the time of scraping.

The meeting is hybrid and CPD credits are included, although the number of credits is not yet stated. Early-bird booking runs to 31 July 2026. Representative two-day in-person standard fees are £179 for consultants and specialist/SAS doctors and £138 for resident/MTI doctors; foundation doctors can attend online from £36.
