ESICM LIVES 2026 39th Annual Congress Lisbon

ESICM LIVES 2026 is the 39th ESICM Annual Congress, taking place at CCL, Lisboa Congress Centre from 10-14 October 2026. The first two days are pre-congress educational courses, followed by the core scientific congress and workshops from 12-14 October. ESICM describes a broad intensive care medicine programme with debates, case presentations, interactive lectures, symposia, case discussions, ICM Journal sessions, NEXT activities for younger intensivists and poster stations.

The expanded abstracts section confirms that abstract submission closed on 22 April 2026. Abstracts were reviewed anonymously, decisions were sent on 10 June and presentation details on 16 June. Selected abstracts are presented as oral or e-poster presentations during the main congress and will be published in the ICMx Journal. ESICM does not accept case reports or case series. Presenting authors must register, and submission is treated as a commitment to present at the allocated time.

Registration is open through KIT Group GmbH, ESICM's official registration and housing provider. Fees are listed in euros and exclude 23% Portugal VAT, so the GBP summary fields are left blank. Early registration ran until 20 August 2026, standard fees run from 21 August to 30 September, and late fees apply from 1 October until the end of congress.
