This two-day meeting is aimed principally at thoracic radiologists and radiology resident doctors, with reporting radiographers also explicitly invited. The programme covers practical HRCT reporting, pulmonary vascular imaging, pleural and oesophageal assessment, thoracic malignancy staging, ILD classification, lung-nodule guidance, thoracic surgery, AI and interventional radiology. It carries 10 Royal College of Radiologists CPD credits: six on Monday and four on Tuesday.
Research and education have a defined place in the timetable. Tuesday includes three ten-minute scientific presentations, three ten-minute educational presentations and prize presentations. The organiser links to a dedicated 2026 abstract page, but that page now says only that submissions are closed; it no longer publishes the deadline, word limit, structure, eligibility, categories, figures or tables policy, presenter obligations or publication outcome. The event landing page still says abstracts are open, so the direct submission page has been treated as the current authority.
Full two-day prices are £300 for BSTI members and £375 for non-members. Trainee prices are £125 for members and £150 for non-members; AHP and radiographer attendance is £125. The early-bird period ended on 31 July 2026, when the equivalent rates were £250, £325, £100, £125 and £100 respectively.
Registration opens at 08:30 on both days. Monday ends with a drinks reception at Bridgewater Hall and an optional dinner at 20 Stories; dinner places are limited. The venue is The Bridgewater Hall on Lower Mosley Street in central Manchester. BSTI also lists discounted accommodation at INNSiDe Manchester and a Voco Manchester group rate using code BS1.
