31st BIC-ISMRM Annual Scientific Meeting 2026

This is the UK and Ireland chapter meeting for scientists, clinicians, engineers, physicists, radiographers, students and industry colleagues working in magnetic resonance and biomedical imaging. The main meeting runs from 18:00 on 2 September to 17:00 on 4 September at Bush House, King’s College London, under the theme “Community”.

The programme combines invited science with a substantial research showcase. Karla Miller opens the first full day with MRI methods that cross scales in neuroscience; Joanna Wardlaw gives the Bill Moore Lecture on the vascular brain; and Penny Gowland speaks on abdominal MRI. Nine oral tracks cover microstructure, lung, neuroimaging, musculoskeletal imaging, oncology, abdominal imaging and MRI technology, alongside 27 oral papers, 61 posters, power pitches, sponsor exhibitions, a welcome reception and conference dinner.

The 2026 abstract call is closed. Submissions used one A4 page of structured text—Introduction, Methods and materials, Results, Discussion and Conclusion—limited to about 600 words in Arial at a minimum 10-point size. A second A4 page held references, acknowledgements and up to three figures or tables, and authors also supplied a synopsis of no more than 40 words for the programme book. Accepted work is presented orally or as a poster, with an optional one-slide poster power pitch.

Registration is also closed. The published main-meeting late rate was £270 for a non-member and £190 for a student non-member; early rates were £250 and £170 respectively, with lower member prices. Temple Underground station is about two minutes from Bush House, and Charing Cross, Embankment and Waterloo are within walking distance.
