Top six abstracts selected for oral presentation; all other accepted abstracts displayed as posters onsite and online.
Eligibility
UK and international radiology resident doctors, including ST5 doctors nearing completion, radiology aspirants currently in other specialties, and medical students.
Lead Author Cpd
Lead author earns 3 CPD credits; each co-author earns 1 CPD credit.
Poster Requirement
Presenters print their own poster, submit a PDF to the online platform by 12 October, and display the printed poster by 08:30 on 10 November.
Presenter Requirement
At least one named author must register as a paid delegate and attend in Liverpool on 10–11 November 2026.

The seventh National Radiology Events and Learning (REAL) Conference takes place in person at St George's Hall, Liverpool, on 10–11 November 2026. It is designed for consultant and resident radiologists, reporting radiographers, other imaging professionals, and colleagues in independent and community reporting services. The programme combines keynotes on learning safely, radical humility, safety culture and cognitive thinking with eight specialty “pitfalls” talks, AI and legal themes, resident case presentations, reflective practice and practical sessions on running inclusive REAL meetings. Abstracts are open to UK and international resident doctors, including ST5 doctors nearing completion, radiology aspirants in other specialties and medical students. The extended deadline is 12:00 BST on 24 July 2026. The top six accepted abstracts receive oral presentation slots; other accepted work is displayed as posters both onsite and online. Accepted work is published in the RCR Open Online Journal and on the SciGen website. Lead authors receive 3 CPD credits and co-authors 1 CPD credit. Conference fees are £710 for non-members, £510 for RCR member consultants/SAS/specialist doctors, and £345 for RCR resident doctors and other eligible healthcare professionals, including medical students. Full participation awards 13 CPD credits. The meeting is in-person only and will not be available on demand.
