The first UK medical conference website
Conferences · Journals · Societies · Research, for UK resident doctors
The meeting is hybrid and linked to ISTAART, the Alzheimer's Association network for scientists, clinicians and dementia professionals.
AAIC is positioned by the organiser as the largest global forum for dementia science, with the prior meeting reporting 7,900 submitted abstracts, nearly 200 scientific sessions and more than 800 podium presentations.
Early career researchers and presenting authors should monitor the fall 2026 abstract and fellowship window; the site says full and partial conference fellowships are awarded during abstract submission.
AAIC 2027 is the Alzheimer's Association's annual international conference for dementia science and clinical practice, running 18-21 July 2027 at McCormick Place in Chicago with an online attendance option. The audience named by the organiser includes basic scientists, clinical researchers, early-career investigators, clinicians and the care research community, so the meeting is relevant to doctors working in neurology, old age psychiatry, geriatrics, primary care and dementia research. The 2027 page is still in save-the-date mode: abstract submissions are stated to open in fall 2026 and registration in spring 2027, but exact deadlines and fee tables are not yet published. Current AAIC abstract guidance says individual abstracts can be considered for oral and/or poster presentation, including original, update and encore submissions, with peer review by the Scientific Program Committee and in-person or virtual presentation routes. The detailed programme and plenary speaker list still contain 2026 material, so these should be rechecked when the 2027 programme is released. The continuing education page confirms joint provision by PIM and the Alzheimer's Association and lists up to 25 AMA PRA Category 1 credits for physicians on the current AAIC site. Trainees should watch for the fall 2026 abstract call and fellowship window, because presenting authors can apply for full or partial conference fellowships during abstract submission.
