UK Stroke Research Workshop 2026 is a two-day national stroke research meeting at the University of Manchester, supported by BIASP, the Stroke Association and the NIHR RDN Stroke National Specialty Group. The organiser states that the workshop follows previous successful meetings in Cambridge, Manchester, Leicester, Sheffield, UCL London, Keele and Newcastle. The programme focuses on current stroke research and evidence, including acute stroke therapy, prevention, psychological consequences of stroke, new technologies to model and treat stroke, and cerebral small vessel disease. It has a strong trainee and research profile: abstracts are invited on any aspect of stroke research, with spaces for both junior researcher oral presentations and posters, and prizes for best poster and oral presentations. The abstract format is practical and accessible for early researchers: title, authors, institutions, introduction, methods, results and conclusions, fitting one A4 page with a maximum 400-word count. Medical student bursaries are available, and students do not need to register before applying for the bursary; successful applicants must register within one week of notification. Registration is listed at £90 with a last booking date of 3 August 2026.
