British Myology Society Annual Meeting 2026

The British Myology Society Annual Meeting is aimed at clinicians and allied health professionals working in neuromuscular medicine. The provisional two-day programme covers exercise prescription, congenital myasthenic syndromes, allied-health initiatives, implementation of disease-modifying treatments, inflammatory myopathies, myasthenia gravis, myotonic dystrophy and a live muscle-ultrasound demonstration. It also includes a debate on investment in multidisciplinary care and an evening drinks-and-canapés networking session.

The research route for 2026 is a call for clinical cases for the Muscle Interest Group session. The call is now closed, and the programme allocates 15 minutes to each selected case. The organiser has not published a closing date, word limit, required structure, figures or tables policy, eligibility rules, or publication outcome, so those details remain unrecorded rather than inferred.

A full two-day delegate ticket is £220 and day-two-only attendance is £150; Eventbrite states that sales end on 1 September 2026. BMS membership is required, with new members welcome. Membership and accommodation are purchased separately, and the booking page shows £75 full membership, £30 reduced membership for allied health professionals, nurses and trainees, and £124 college accommodation, which is currently sold out. Limited discounted conference places may be available by contacting the organiser, but no discounted ticket price is published.

The meeting is in person at Worcester College, Oxford, from Sunday evening to Monday afternoon. There is no on-site parking; the organiser recommends Oxford park-and-ride, and the venue is about a ten-minute walk from Oxford railway station and about five minutes from major coach stops. CPD certificates will be issued to attendees who complete the educational programme and sign in on both days; sponsored symposia do not count towards that programme.
