Alzheimer's Society Annual Conference 2026

This hybrid national meeting is aimed at researchers, policymakers, local authorities, health and social care professionals, professional bodies, community groups and people affected by dementia. The day runs at Convene, 155 Bishopsgate, with virtual access to the main plenary room. The programme moves from dementia research and health-system change into diagnosis, neighbourhood care, innovation, clinical trials, social-care workforce development and national planning.

The published timetable includes plenaries plus six concurrent breakouts. Speakers include Professor Catherine Mummery on the new era of dementia research; Professor Sir Mike Richards, Sarah Woolnough and Michelle Dyson on lessons from cancer and long-term conditions; and a panel on prevention, brain health and mild cognitive impairment. In-person delegates pre-book their breakouts, while virtual delegates can watch the main-room breakout streams. Most sessions will be recorded in the conference app for one month after the event.

There is currently no published abstract, poster or call-for-papers route for the 2026 conference. Searches of the organiser’s conference page, programme, FAQ and site returned no submission specifications, so this should be treated as an attendance and networking event rather than a portfolio presentation opportunity unless the organiser later adds a call.

General admission costs £315 in person or £145 virtually. NHS, university, charity and public-sector delegates qualify for the charity rate of £210 in person or £100 virtually; full-time students pay £75 or £30. The live Cvent page states registration by 14 September at 17:00, although the organiser page still says 7 September, so the booking portal is the more current deadline evidence. The venue is beside Liverpool Street station, has wheelchair and lift access, accepts guide dogs, provides a quiet room and Wi-Fi, and has no on-site parking.
