Complete guideFull MedicMess editorial briefing

This two-day meeting is for clinicians and researchers working in paediatric emergency medicine. The joint APEM and PERUKI programme covers trauma and orthopaedics, febrile infants, front-door care, system pressures, mental health, respiratory trials, refugee health and infection, alongside the APEM AGM and a conference social.

The programme combines named clinical updates with research and audit content. Day one includes PERUKI updates, trauma and orthopaedic studies, febrile-infant care, paediatric front-door work and service-delivery sessions. Day two covers the Pre Hospital Research & Audit Network, respiratory trials, refugee health, infection studies, a dedicated oral-presentations session and a guest session on platform trials in paediatric emergency medicine.

APEM directs 2026 abstract submissions to apemabstracts@gmail.com. The current organiser pages do not publish a deadline, word or character limit, required structure, eligibility criteria, topic categories, rules for figures or tables, presenter obligations, or a publication outcome; these have therefore been left unknown rather than inferred. The published programme confirms an oral-presentations session on day two.

The meeting is in person at Leonardo Royal Hotel Southampton Grand Harbour. Registration starts at 08:30 on 15 September and sessions run from 09:00 to 17:00 on both days. Current Eventbrite prices are £119.89 including fee for either single day and £217.39 including fee for both days; sales end on 31 August 2026, the listing says few tickets remain, and the refund policy is no refunds. The conference social is at Dancing Man Brewery on 15 September, with a separate social ticket advertised.
