Complete guideFull MedicMess editorial briefing

The 16th European Congress for Paediatric Anaesthesiology takes place in Madrid from 24 to 26 September 2026 and is aimed at ESPA members and colleagues working in paediatric anaesthesia and related fields. The congress programme combines scientific sessions, poster presentation, problem-based learning sessions and practical workshops, with the organisers explicitly separating general and advanced PBL content for clinicians with different levels of paediatric anaesthesia experience. The HTML programme pages list detailed PBL and workshop timetables; the full preliminary detailed programme is available only as a PDF, so this draft records the visible online timetable and links the PDF page for editor follow-up. Abstract submission opened on 1 April 2026 and closed on 12 July 2026, with author decisions due by 20 July. Abstracts must be in English, limited to 300 words excluding title, authors and affiliations, and may include case reports using a separate structure. Posters are grouped by topic and at least one author must register fully to present. Registration is in EUR: non-member full congress fees are 790 early, 830 late and 880 onsite; trainee fees are 330, 360 and 430; nurse/student rates are 180 throughout. Early registration ends on 27 July and late registration ends on 20 September 2026. The venue is Hotel Melia Avenida America, between central Madrid and Madrid-Barajas Airport.
