Who is EPALS for?
Healthcare professionals who need skills in managing deteriorating patients and cardiac arrest. Applicants must hold a current clinical appointment and hold, or be training for, a professional healthcare qualification. Source ↗
How long is EPALS and how is it run?
Two days face to face at an RCUK Course Centre. Pre-course MCQ paper online. Continuous assessment in clinical simulations, ending with a final simulation assessment. Source ↗
How much does EPALS cost?
Cambridge Postgraduate Medical Centre: £625 (EPALS, 8-9 October 2026, Huntingdon). Fees are set by each Course Centre. Source ↗
How long does EPALS certification last?
Valid for four years. Recertify within twelve months of expiry by taking the second day of a standard EPALS course. Source ↗
Does training require EPALS?
RCPCH paediatric training: trainees must complete accredited neonatal and paediatric life support training (NLS, EPALS, APLS or equivalent) during core training. Source ↗
