UKEGS Conference 2026

UKEGS Conference 2026 is the UK and Éire Glaucoma Society annual meeting, taking place at the Royal Northern College of Music in central Manchester on 10 and 11 November 2026. The organiser describes the event as a forum for the glaucoma ophthalmology, optometry and research communities, with networking, new research and talks from confirmed speakers.

The conference is particularly relevant for trainees and students interested in glaucoma because the society explicitly aims to promote the sub-specialty among trainee ophthalmologists and related professionals.

Abstract submissions for poster and oral presentations have closed; the page says submitted work is now under UKEGS committee review and that very high scoring abstracts may be selected for oral presentation. A separate video route remains open until midnight on 30 September 2026 for glaucoma-related surgical videos, patient cases or patient education projects of up to three minutes.

Ticket sales are open through separate consultant ophthalmologist and other healthcare professional routes. The ticket pages state that early-bird pricing ran until 16 July 2026, full price applies from 17 July to 19 October 2026, and late bookings from 20 October attract a premium. UKEGS anticipates around 12 Royal College of Ophthalmologists CPD points and will apply for General Optical Council accreditation.
