UK Shock 2026 brings together the UK’s cardiac arrest and cardiogenic shock community for two focused days at the Royal College of Physicians in London. The meeting is designed for clinicians, researchers, service leads and commissioners working across cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery, intensive care, pre-hospital care, emergency medicine and resuscitation.
Day one focuses on cardiogenic shock, while day two turns to cardiac arrest, with eight themed scientific sessions covering the latest evidence, mechanical circulatory support, ECPR, service delivery, finance, governance and the future shape of UK shock networks. The programme includes named expert talks, moderated panel discussions and a strong emphasis on practical questions facing NHS teams.
There is also a clear route to present work. Abstracts are welcomed in research, quality improvement, service development, education and clinical case reports, with the strongest submission invited for a main-stage presentation and other accepted work displayed as posters. Abstracts are judged on relevance, significance, innovation, trustworthiness and overall impression, with a 250-word limit and up to five Vancouver-style references. The submission deadline is Monday 28 September 2026, via Oxford Abstracts.
Registration is £400 for both days at the early-bird rate before 1 September 2026, rising to £600 standard, with one-day tickets also available. The meeting is accredited for 10 CPD points by the Royal College of Anaesthetists.
