BNCS Annual Conference 2026

BNCS Annual Conference 2026 is a focused, face-to-face day for cardiologists, nuclear radiologists, nuclear medicine technologists and physicists, nurses and trainees working in cardiac imaging. The provisional programme runs from 08:30 to 17:10 at Wellcome Collection, with sessions on PET myocardial perfusion, quantitative SPECT, total-body PET, cardiac amyloidosis, myocarditis, sarcoidosis and device-related infection. It also includes the BNCS AGM, Best Case presentations and the Young Investigator Award.

For the Young Investigator Award, resident doctors or fellows, trainee nuclear medicine technologists and trainee physicists can submit original research, a quality-improvement project or an audit. The abstract must be a Word document or PDF, structured as Introduction, Aim, Methods, Results and Conclusions, with a 350-word limit plus one figure or one table of no more than 15 rows. The top three receive free registration and give a 10-minute oral presentation followed by two minutes of questions; the remaining accepted abstracts are invited for rotating ePoster display. People studying for an MD, PhD or equivalent are encouraged, and researchers with up to two years of postdoctoral experience are eligible.

The separate Best Case Presentation Award accepts a 350-word case abstract from the same trainee groups. Its top three entrants receive free registration and present for eight minutes plus two minutes of questions. Both routes close on Friday 16 October at 17:00; the submission page does not state a timezone.

Registration costs £50 for consultants and £25 for trainees, AHPs, physicists and technologists, including one year of BNCS membership. General registration closes on 26 November at 17:00 Greenwich Time. CPD accreditation is not stated. The venue is at 183 Euston Road, London NW1 2BE.
