BICCS National Conference 2026

BICCS 2026 is aimed at clinicians and allied professionals working with inherited cardiovascular conditions, including cardiology and clinical genetics trainees, physicians, nurses, genetic counsellors, cardiac physiologists and clinical scientists. The two-day programme combines practical ICC and genomics updates with parallel core-training sessions, case-based learning and interactive discussion. Named sessions cover cardiomyopathy across the lifespan, sudden death and unexplained cardiac arrest, inherited arrhythmias, genomics, aortopathy and paediatric ICCs; Prof Hugh Watkins gives the William McKenna Keynote Lecture.

You can submit either research/project work or an educational clinical case by email. Both calls close on 30 October 2026 and allow up to 350 words, plus a figure or table; legends do not count towards the limit. Research abstracts must use Background, Methods, Results and Conclusion, while clinical cases should run in sequence through history, examination and investigations and finish with a key message. Patients must not be identifiable. Selected work may be offered as an oral or poster presentation, and the top abstract and top clinical case each receive a £100 prize.

The standard non-member medical ticket is £400 and the non-member nurse/AHP/trainee ticket is £200. Current BICCS members pay £200 and £100 respectively, with the same prices for in-person or live-streamed access. The Thursday conference dinner is separate at £60 for medical attendees or £50 for AHPs, nurses and trainees.

The meeting is at Saïd Business School in Oxford on 10–11 December 2026. Registration is open, and the in-person programme includes a drinks reception and dinner on Thursday evening. The organiser has not stated CPD points, a general registration closing date or a formal abstract publication route.
