SCTS Annual Meeting 2027

The SCTS Annual Meeting is the main annual conference for the UK and Ireland cardiothoracic surgical community. For 2027 it runs from 21 to 23 March at ICC Birmingham. The SCTS page states that registration includes access to the full conference: scientific sessions, lectures, abstract presentations, plenary and lunchbox sessions, the exhibition hall, the welcome reception and catering. The meeting is face to face, with no online option found. Abstract submission opens on 1 September 2026 and the headline deadline is 5 November; the page says completed abstracts will be reviewed on 26 November 2026 with decisions by the end of the year. Current 2027 speaker names and the detailed programme are still to be confirmed, but the SCTS FAQ describes the meeting format as a University Day, presidential plenary, abstract-driven sessions and keynote lectures from internationally recognised leaders. Accepted abstracts are stated in the SCTS FAQ to be published as a supplement in the Journal of Cardiothoracic Surgery. The 2027 page confirms up to 18 CPD points. Pricing was not visible: the registration microsite resolved in the browser but rendered no readable ticket or fee content, and the SCTS page only says registration opens on 1 December.
