RGPAS 2026 is designed for established and aspiring rural GPs, doctors in training and medical students, with both in-person and online attendance offered. The draft programme covers obstetric emergencies, neonatal resuscitation, ADHD in primary care, nausea, hepatology referrals, oncology, GP training, humanitarian medicine and rural career stories.

The poster competition has Remote and Rural, Innovation and Quality Improvement categories. Student entries close on 31 August and other entries on 21 September; posters are submitted as PDFs by email, must have a rural connection, and category winners are invited to present on Saturday. The organiser also offers 20 scholarship places for medical students in Scotland.

The conference runs from Friday afternoon to Sunday at Lochardil House in Inverness, with a curry, conference dinner and ceilidh, and an optional Sunday Loch Ness swim. The official site states that early-bird ticket sales end on 31 August; accommodation at the main hotel was already reported full when checked.
