This RCPsych Wales faculty meeting is a one-day, in-person old age psychiatry conference at Wrexham Medical Institute. The official programme PDF gives a full 09:30-16:00 timetable, starting with Prof Sharmi Bhattacharyya and a keynote by Rhian Bowen-Davies, Older People’s Commissioner for Wales.
The programme then covers workforce and recruitment, dementia therapeutics and biomarkers, alcohol and capacity assessments, the Pathway and Competence Framework for Dementia Care in Wales, trainee presentations, and a neurology update from Dr Rhys Davies. There is also a poster prize slot near the end of the day.
Fees are visible on the RCPsych event page: core, higher, foundation, retired and SAS doctors are GBP 40, consultants are GBP 50, and non-members are GBP 60. The page states attendees will receive 5 CPD points, subject to peer approval. The page does not publish an abstract submission specification or deadline for this event, despite the programme including trainee presentations and a poster prize.
