Interdisciplinary Conference on Careers and Clinical Practice in Liaison Psychiatry 2026

This online meeting is aimed at resident doctors, SAS psychiatrists, new consultants, nurses and allied health professionals working in or considering liaison psychiatry. The day runs from 09:00 to 17:05 on 30 October 2026 through EventsAir, with live slides and video, questions for speakers, delegate discussion, and access to the recording until 22 January 2027.

The four plenary blocks cover the liaison workforce, complex presentations across the lifespan, human stories in liaison psychiatry and emerging areas of practice. Sessions include doctor wellbeing and suicide prevention, functional neurological disorder in children, chronic fatigue syndrome, a live Balint session, end-of-life psychiatry, reproductive mental health, international perspectives and oral poster presentations. The College states that the event carries one CPD point per hour of content, subject to peer approval, but does not publish a fixed total.

Poster abstracts close at 13:00 UK time on 14 September 2026. Submissions are limited to 300 words including subtitles and formulas, and should ideally use five headings: aims and hypothesis, background, methods, results and conclusions. Authors must define abbreviations, describe the rationale and methods, state major findings and relevant participant numbers, confirm ethical and governance safeguards, and disclose financial sponsorship. Categories include research, education and training, quality improvement, service evaluation or audit, and case study.

The public fees are £119 for non-members, £90 for consultants, £66 for SAS psychiatrists, higher trainees and allied health professionals, and £42 for core trainees, students, subsidised delegates and retired members.
