IEA2027 is a large international ergonomics and human factors congress hosted in London by CIEHF with the International Ergonomics Association. The official page describes more than 50 participating countries, around 1,500 delegates and hundreds of learning opportunities, with themes spanning human-system integration, AI and automation, inclusive design, healthcare, transport, critical infrastructure, defence and complex systems. For doctors and healthcare improvers, the most relevant angle is patient-safety and systems design rather than a single clinical specialty.
Submissions opened on 1 July 2026 and close at midnight on 1 November 2026. The visible submission routes are research papers, case studies, PhD research and workshops; accepted authors are notified on 1 February 2027 and then asked to upload a final paper after reviewer feedback. The ticket page is live and the official site lists early-bird rates until 31 October: one day GBP355, two days GBP675 and three days GBP895, all excluding VAT. Tickets include lunch, refreshments, access to the conference app and a digital book of conference abstracts. The venue is the Capital Suite at Excel London, Royal Victoria Dock, with a separate official accommodation portal.
