A national BSG congress with exhibition, industry sessions, plenaries and poster gallery should offer strong specialty networking value for UK gastroenterology trainees.
Adjacent-cycle BSG LIVE'26 evidence shows oral, flash-poster and e-poster abstract routes with publication in Gut; the 2027 call should be rechecked before deadline/cost fields are populated.
The current homepage confirms a national BSG congress with CPD-accredited sessions, plenaries, scientific posters and hybrid/on-demand content; 2027 fees and bursaries are not yet published.
BSG LIVE'27 is currently confirmed by the BSG LIVE microsite as running from 21-24 June 2027 at SEC Glasgow. The site describes the annual BSG congress as a broad gastroenterology and hepatology meeting with CPD-accredited sessions, expert plenaries, industry-led sessions, a scientific poster gallery and hybrid/on-demand learning. The 2027-specific programme, registration fees, venue travel page and abstract call are not yet published: the linked subpages still carry BSG LIVE'26 Liverpool material. For trainees, the best current abstract evidence comes from the adjacent 2026 cycle and should be marked for recheck when the 2027 call opens. The 2026 call accepted oral, flash poster and e-poster presentations; the official template uses Introduction, Methods, Results and Conclusions headings; accepted abstracts were published in Gut under a BMJ/BSG licence route; and presenting authors did not have to register before submission but had to register after acceptance by the date in their notification email. No public 2027 prices, abstract deadline, word limit or Glasgow travel details were visible in this pass.
