Four days at a national society meeting should provide broad specialty networking across transplant disciplines.
The BTS congress series has an abstracts archive with annual abstract books, including a 2026 abstract book, so research presentation value is likely high once 2027 submission details open.
The annual BTS meeting is relevant for junior doctors and trainees working in transplantation pathways, especially renal, liver, heart and multi-organ transplant services.
The British Transplantation Society Annual Conference 2027 is listed by BTS as a Tuesday-to-Friday meeting at Bournemouth International Centre. BTS describes the society as the professional voice of transplantation in the UK, representing clinicians, nurses, pharmacists, scientists, histocompatibility laboratory staff, ethicists and other allied professionals, so the meeting is relevant to trainees and junior doctors working around kidney, liver, heart and other transplantation pathways. The 2027 event page does not yet publish registration fees, CPD points, speaker names, abstract deadlines or a programme. However, the BTS events section places it alongside the society annual congress series, and the congress abstracts page shows that past congress abstracts are collected in downloadable annual abstract books, including the 2026 Llandudno abstract book. BTS also publishes congress highlights and programme material for prior years, with the 2026 highlights page linking to a final programme PDF. Trainees should therefore treat this as a high-value national specialty meeting, but should wait for the 2027 registration, abstract submission and programme pages before finalising study leave or portfolio plans.
