BOFAS 2026 is a three-day foot and ankle surgery meeting for members, non-members, trainees and allied health professionals. Under the theme “Wisdom in Practice”, day one covers clinical judgement, complications, surgeon wellbeing, research translation, big data and AI. Day two brings debates, anatomy, diabetic foot care and free papers; day three focuses on trauma and “Best of the Best” presentations. AHP content runs on Thursday 5 November, with a medical student session planned for Friday 6 November.

The 2026 abstract call is closed. Cvent submissions were limited to 2,100 characters including spaces, approximately 300 words, with no more than eight authors. Authors had to contribute to study design, data acquisition, or analysis and interpretation. Submitters chose e-poster, oral or either, although BOFAS makes the final allocation. Accepted presenters attend in person; posters require a digital PDF and an A0 portrait PDF.

Submission was free, and the named presenting author receives complimentary registration for the day of presentation; co-authors register at the applicable rate. AHP bursaries of up to £300 were offered competitively to applicants without adequate alternative funding. Abstracts closed on 1 June 2026 at 23:59 BST, bursary applications closed on 20 July, and speaker files are due by 15:00 on 3 November.

The meeting is at ICC Wales in Newport, just off M4 Junction 24, with more than 2,000 parking spaces. The named conference hotel is full, but BOFAS lists several nearby alternatives.
