BSSH Scientific Meeting 2026

The BSSH Scientific Meeting 2026 is a three-day, in-person hand-surgery meeting at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre, held with the American Association for Hand Surgery. The published scope spans fractures, training, humanitarian work, nerve injuries, paediatric hand, sports injuries, brachial plexus and Dupuytren’s disease, with visiting speakers from the USA, Switzerland, China and Japan. Abstract submission is closed. Every accepted abstract will be an in-person oral podium presentation; the meeting will not run an e-poster stream. “Free Papers” are reserved for the highest-ranked studies with mature data and strong scientific or clinical impact, or focused studies with robust early or confirmatory results. “Emerging Concepts” can include innovative ideas, case reports or small series, technical developments and new clinical approaches. The scientific committee may reallocate a submission’s format or topic after scoring. For the full meeting, standard non-member fees are £825 for consultants/other delegates, £460 for trainees or residents, and £120 for medical students or nurses.
