BIPOSA Annual Meeting 2026: Liverpool

BIPOSA Annual Meeting 2026 takes place from 30 September to 2 October 2026 at the Titanic Hotel, Stanley Dock, Liverpool. The meeting is aimed at paediatric ophthalmologists, strabismus surgeons, orthoptists, trainees, fellows and allied professionals working with children''s eye disease, vision assessment and ocular motility.

The published programme spans paediatric life-saving eye signs, uveitis, ROP and retina, craniofacial and oculoplastic topics, artificial intelligence, nystagmus and neuro-ophthalmology, alongside multiple free paper and rapid-fire research sessions.

Abstract submission is closed; the stated deadline was 10:00 on 24 April 2026, with author notification on 28 May 2026. Accepted work may be presented as oral/free paper, rapid-fire oral, paper poster or selected e-poster case, and BIPOSA states that accepted poster or oral abstracts can be published online in BMJ Open Ophthalmology when the first author registers, pays and returns the publication agreement by 1 August 2026.

Registration is online by card only, with pre-meeting registration closing at 10:00 on 25 September 2026. Full-meeting rates include GBP 490 for non-member consultants/SAS or senior orthoptists, GBP 440 for non-member medics in training/clinical or research fellows, and special daily rates of GBP 90 for medical students and GBP 120 for FY1/FY2 doctors. Delegates should note that poster and free-paper presenters had a separate 1 August 2026 registration deadline to remain in the programme and abstract listing.
