The BAOS Annual Scientific Conference 2027 is a three-day oral surgery meeting at Leonardo Royal Hotel London Tower Bridge, with BAOS confirming 16 hours of CPD across the main conference. The theme is Basket to Casket: Oral Surgery Across the Lifespan, and the PDF programme gives a structured route through paediatric care, adolescent oral surgery, adult care, implants and bone grafting, pathology, TMJ, geriatric adults, special care dentistry and end-of-life considerations.

The timetable includes named speakers, forums for secondary care, SAS grades and primary care, a trainee meeting, open paper presentation sessions, an informal social evening and a separately bookable formal Awards Dinner. A parallel Dental Nurse Study Day runs on Thursday 18 March and carries 6.5 hours of CPD.

The abstract route is well specified. Open paper categories are Research and Audit / Service / Quality Improvement; poster categories are Audit/Service/Quality Improvement, Case Presentation, Research and Dental Care Professional. Abstracts close on Sunday 6 December 2026, must be submitted online and also sent as a Word version to BAOS, with a maximum 300 words and a title limit of 10 words. Entrants must be BAOS members and booked for the conference, and work must not have been previously published or presented elsewhere. Research abstracts require Objectives, Methods, Results and Conclusion; audit/QIP abstracts require Objectives, Methods, Outcomes and Conclusion; case posters require Background, Patient Information, Management and Outcome, and Key learning points. Poster semi-finalist abstracts are published in the BAOS Oral Surgery Journal the following year.
