Scottish Orthodontic Conference 2027 is a one-day hybrid update for orthodontists, orthodontic trainees, therapists, nurses and dentists with an interest in orthodontics. The organiser describes a mix of contemporary practice updates, clinical pearls and panel sessions for colleagues working across primary and secondary care.
The poster competition gives you a current route to present a case report, audit, quality-improvement project or clinical trial/study. Abstracts close on 7 December 2026. Submissions are limited to 300 words and one table, use Aim/Objectives, Methods, Results and Conclusions, and permit no more than two Vancouver-style references. The top entries are selected for a short oral presentation; other accepted abstracts appear in a digital showcase.
At least one author must register if an abstract is accepted, and the submitting applicant must attend either in person or online. Selected posters must be landscape 16:9 and supplied as a high-quality image or PDF. The abstract is emailed to the conference coordinator, and changes are not permitted after the deadline.
The conference carries 5 CPD points. Published prices are £115 for College members and £220 for non-members; the public booking route requires a College account before any further ticket tiers can be viewed. In-person attendance is at the College in Glasgow city centre, with an online option and access to recorded sessions where available.
