UKISCRS 50th Annual Congress 2026

This two-day ophthalmology congress is aimed at cataract, corneal and refractive surgeons, with a programme spanning complex cataract decisions, corneal and anterior-segment surgery, glaucoma combinations, AI, gene therapy and future IOL technology. Thursday features the President's Plenary, a 50-year review of UKISCRS and a Council Medal Lecture; Friday includes ten free papers, five videos, debates and memorable-case sessions.

The 2026 abstract call is closed. Submissions used a structured format with UK spelling, full co-author names and a guide limit of 250 words. The stated routes were oral presentation, video and case studies, with trainee-level awards including the £750 Founders Prize and £500 prizes across refractive, cataract, glaucoma, corneal and video categories, plus £250 for the best poster.

Early-bird registration runs until 9 September. The visible two-day fees are £360 for consultant or SAS UKISCRS members, £300 for retired consultants, £520 for non-members and £200 for trainees, foundation doctors or medical students. One-day rates and allied-health tiers are also available; the separate celebration dinner costs £90.

The congress is at County Hall on Belvedere Road, close to Waterloo station and Waterloo Pier. Registration and the industry exhibition open before the scientific programme, and Friday closes with a drinks reception. The optional gala dinner is at the London Transport Museum on Thursday evening.
