Scottish Public Health Conference 2026

This is the second Scottish Public Health Conference, jointly organised by the Faculty of Public Health, Public Health Scotland and the Scottish Directors of Public Health Group. It is for people working in or alongside public health, including government, local government, emergency services, academia and the third sector. The theme is moving from population-health frameworks to implementation and measurable change.

The full Glasgow programme runs from registration at 08:30 to closing remarks at 17:00. Plenaries cover Scotland’s Population Health Framework, health intelligence and equity, then six practical breakout topics are repeated in two selectable blocks. The afternoon includes obesity policy, a cross-sector implementation panel, poster viewing and scheduled networking time.

Poster abstracts could address any theme in public-health practice and were limited to 500 words. Multiple submissions were allowed, but accepted work had to be presented in person; the organiser accepted posters only, not parallel-session proposals. Submissions closed at 17:00 on 9 July 2026, so the research route is retained as closed intelligence rather than advertised as open.

Standard registration is £129. The £69 student and voluntary-sector ticket is sold out, and no separate trainee or early-bird price remains visible. General registration closes on 6 November. The venue is fully accessible and is about four minutes on foot from High Street station, seven to eight minutes from Glasgow Queen Street and fifteen minutes from Glasgow Central.
