SAMGlasgow 2026 is aimed at clinicians and the wider multiprofessional team working in acute medicine, with a two-day programme at Hilton Glasgow and an online delegate route. The public programme covers health inequalities, the interface between acute medicine and primary care, dermatology in acute care, women leading acute care, research, QI, training, quality improvement, specialist acute-front-line cases, service setup, international acute medicine, medical HDU, guideline updates, education, improvement and innovation. Abstract submission is open until 23:59 on Sunday 9 August 2026. SAM invites abstracts from health professionals involved in Acute Medicine across five categories: Case Reports, Education, Service Organisation & Design, Quality Improvement and Research. The main abstract limit is 300 words, with an extra 50 words allowed for required headings, and each category has a prescribed structure. Case reports require uploaded patient consent with a wet-ink signature; QI abstracts must show baseline measurement, implemented change and post-intervention data. Accepted work is displayed through an online ePoster showcase and printed posters for in-person attendees, with selected submissions invited for oral or two-minute lightning presentation. The ePoster showcase remains live for one year. Registration is open with early-bird pricing until 9 August 2026 and standard pricing from 10 August to 20 September. Representative standard two-day non-member rates are £645 for consultants, £485 for ST4+/SAS and £280 for junior trainee or ACP/AHP/PA/nursing/pharmacy delegates; undergraduate student or retired registration is £95. SAM says 12 external CPD points will be applied for through the Federation of the Royal Colleges of Physicians, with archived access for four months also planned.
