EFORT Athens 2027 is a large pan-European orthopaedics and trauma congress for surgeons, trainees, researchers and allied professionals. The published theme is IMPACT, covering innovation in musculoskeletal practice and advancing clinical outcomes. The programme is still preliminary, but EFORT lists complex case discussions, debate fora, honorary lectures, interactive expert exchange sessions, instructional lectures, symposia, free paper sessions, wall posters and poster walks, with featured programmes including advanced total hip and knee replacement, CORE-MD, FORTE, NORE, a host nation symposium and publishing session. Abstract submission opens on 15 September 2026 and closes on 17 November 2026 at 23:59 CET. The route includes clinical studies, experimental studies and systematic reviews, with free paper, poster and clinical report options depending on type. Abstracts must be unpublished, submitted electronically in English and structured into mandatory sections. Acceptance notifications are due on 28 January 2027, and presenting authors must register by 12 February 2027. EFORT says online registration will open in September 2026 through its official MCI Switzerland platform, but delegate fees and any general registration deadline are not yet published. EACCME accreditation has been requested, with credits to follow. The venue is MAICC in central Athens, served directly by Megaro Mousikis metro station.
