How selection works
The MSRA shortlists out the lowest scorers, and the top 75 bypass the interview and are ranked ahead of everyone interviewed. For everyone else the MSRA is 33.3% of the final score and the online interview 66.7%. The structured interview covers research and teaching, quality improvement, commitment to specialty, and leadership and teamworking.
What is scored
Obstetrics & Gynaecology ST1 publishes no portfolio scoring. There is no points table and no band descriptors to show, so this page states what the route does instead of inventing a score for it.
O&G has no portfolio points system. Research, teaching and QI may be discussed in the structured interview, but attending or presenting at a conference has no separately published points value.
The MSRA.
Self-assessed and unofficial. What you claim is verified by the recruitment office, and your authorship, whether the panel judges the work related to the specialty, and whether you presented it yourself can all bring a claim down. This is not a threshold, a pass mark or a prediction that you will be shortlisted. Round 1 closes 19 November 2026.
